Signup Process

Signing up with HiMeets took about 4 seconds, seriously. We entered our sexual preferences, age, and email address, chose a password, and added a photo. HiMeets asked if we wanted to fill out our profile or do it later. This is a big plus in the online dating world, since most sites require that you fill out a long, detailed profile questionnaire before you can even start looking at other members.

Now we’re all for filling out those questionnaires. In fact, the more info you give them, the more accurate your matches are likely to be. So, by all means, Q&A away. In terms of search functionality, we like that HiMeets offers multiple filters to help you narrow down the search results. You can search for specific features such as sexual orientation, ethnicity, body type, and tattoos or piercings. You can also run a selective search for profiles with video or photos included.

Features & Communication Tools

One annoying aspect of HiMeets’ communication process is how limited the freemium accounts are. As mentioned, you can only send out 5 messages a day, and you can’t read responses. This means you can’t do much with a freemium account other than browse profiles. 

Of course, if you are a female, well that’s a whole different ball game. Female members can reply to members’ messages and send out messages to all male members for free without limitations. Sometimes it feels like the world is biased in ways you’ll never understand. Truthfully though if you want to get the full extent of the services available, even gals will have to sign up for a premium membership.

Once you sign up for a premium account the options really open up though. At this point you’re free to message and respond to other members limitlessly. You can also take part in the public chat rooms—one of our favorite features. Public chat rooms offer singles a safe and fun way to meet other singles without the commitment or fear of one-on-one messaging. 

The best feature of all though is the video profile. You can upload a short video on your profile page to tell a little about yourself. This is great on both ends because it gives you the opportunity to present yourself on video, making your profile more attractive, and it also allows you to check out potential matches more authentically and get a better sense of who they are before you even make the first move.

Safety & Security

For one thing, HiMeets provides a Safe Mode. This allows users to browse the network of singles without the fear of being harassed by predators or perverts. Using this feature, you can limit the types of actions that can be taken (such as sending flirts) and what information can be seen by other members (photos, profile info, etc.). For example, you can ensure that members only see your basic profile info like status and location, and have to ask permission to see specific details like eye color and lifestyle preferences.

HiMeets also helps keep users safer by requiring an email verification in order to register for an account. When a member validates their account by connecting a valid phone number, the member will receive a Verified Member badge. This lets other users know that you’re not dealing with a scammer hiding behind a phony profile. HiMeets also stores all sensitive data on secure servers.
